Some are drawn from Persian mythology and women’s oral traditions—ancient voices finding new breath. Others blend East and West, past and present, the remembered and the dreamed. Still others emerge whole from imagination, belonging to no tradition but their own. These are my refuge. Places where wounds can heal. Where tears are wiped away and strength is celebrated. Where tenderness is power.
